Steve
Went out in the car a couple of weeks back and on the way back i came accross some motorbikes. I knew i would get beat, but thought i would give it a go. Anyway when i dropped the car down a gear and floored it, followed by one of the bikers, the boost built up, then got a 'whoosh' sound, followed by a thick black cloud of smoke and no boost ( felt sorry for the bikers that didnt try as i couldnt see them due to the thick black cloud ). Carried on driving home as i just thought it would be a i/c pipe come off. Car drove fine, just no boost I have only just had a chance to take a look and can not find a pipe off anywhere. Have removed the undertray behind the bumper to get at the i/c pipes and they are fine. Have looked at all the pipes on top of the engine and all are ok. The car is setup in TTC mode with the actuators wired open. I just can not get any positive boost pressure. Any ideas or does it sound like the turbos have finally given in? Steve
Just thought i would have a quick look inside the exhaust and i have just found a piece of either metal or ceramic so looks like the turbos have finally blown.

Steve
On further inspection it is definitely a piece of ceramic. So the car will be coming off the road unitl i get the funds together for the single. Does anything need to be done with fluids etc. to store the car for a while? Steve
Gonna be at least the end of the year i would guess. As have things to buy for the house first. Tax runs out end of this month, MOT expired yesterday. How much was your insurance Rob to just leave it sitting there?

Alex
New clean oil is the only thing I'd consider...this will be a great oppertunity to refresh all the liquids though (if you haven't done so already recently). Disconnect/remove the battery.
Steve
Alex, i assume you mean new oil before firing up with the new single on? What about during storage? Drain water or leave it there?
Alex
I meant changing the oil for storage...can't hurt to get rid of the carbonized old stuff before storage...but yeah deffo before you start work on the single.

Steve
Is that no1 or no2 that went? It was the rear one that has shattered (Number 2 IIRC), but the front one has some parts of the blades missing aswell.
