T14PPA Posted November 8, 2015 Share Posted November 8, 2015 Hi my friend who as a supra in cyprus but lives in england is having weird problems with his supra autobox. Its coming up with code 63 solenoid 2 open or short. However he sent another gearbox to cyprus and its doing the same thing. Overdrive does not work and without it on it dont kick down. He said it was driving fine and then it started vibrating and lost drive. A 'gearbox specialist' has looked over it and said everything is fine and its like new. Hes checked the wiring and wires going to ecu. Anyone have any ideas what it could be. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

scott.wild Posted November 8, 2015 Share Posted November 8, 2015 I had the same error codes and symptoms with mine and changed the solenoids and still the same. I started swapping things out like speed limiter, sensors and the autobox ecu, problem was still there. Turns out it was 2 capacitors in the main ecu had blown. T14PPA Posted November 8, 2015 Author Share Posted November 8, 2015 He said hes changed the gearbox. So i would give it benefit of doubt that solenoid two wouldnt be dodgy on both.
