1JZ to Supra wiring specifics

A lot of people are looking at doing this but are unsure of the wiring procedure, below is a list of my notes after successfully completing this conversion.

These notes are about 97% accurate as I think I changed a wire or two but can not be sure as to which but I can guarantee that the car WILL run wired this way, the only thing that doesn't read correctly is the dash temp gauge (I have fitted an aftermarket temp gauge and now use that)

There are 5 Soarer plugs that need reducing into the 3 Supra plugs.

These notes are as follows.....Soarer plug orange 23 pin to Supra plug colour and pin number:

I'm glad you have done this as saves me doing it. Will check my notes against yours at some point.

No worries Ian, always planned on doing it at some point.

Good call Robert, this'll be good reference. :) Others can post the missing info later and if you could edit these into your first post, the jobs jobbed.

I'll link this thread into the N/A-T Group so it can easily be found.

Cheers David.

Hi, I have a Lexus is200 and currently in the process of putting a 1JZ into it, the 1j was originally from a chaser and then was dropped into a mkIV supra, For some strange reason the guy scraped the car, from what i could see it was mint but I got the engine and it was mostly wired for a supra with an EMU standalone...

Anyway it has the orange 38pin and grey 20pin from the above list and i have been rewiring it accordingly, what i casnt work out or find out is where orignally these plugs would have been in the supra? where would they normally plug into for the supra, its just thrown up some confusion as there are a fair few wires in the wrong places, injectors where wired up all wrong along with a couple of sensors and the VSS.

Thanks for your help

Hi mate can you answer why pin 7 on soarer grey 14pin orange and black goes to supra grey pin 9 but also have another wite going to the supra grey pin 9 the soarer white 25pin plug pin 1 orange and black? Do you join both to same pin 9? Thanks
