Replacing Power steering hose from Reservoir to pump

Hi,

I'm just about to replace the hose from the power steering reservoir to the pump, since my old one needed to be replaced.

Does anyone have any tricks or tips ?

Once the pipe is on and I have filled up the reservoir, I assume I can leave the cap of the reservoir off while the engine runs so, I can turn the wheels from side to side to get the air out ?

or will fluid go everywhere ?

Any other advice ?

Cheers Pete

HI...

would you use the same fluid for a manual transmission?
