what the hell do you do if you suspect the owner of an item you are bidding on has made another account and i using it to bump up the bids on the item he is selling ?

There are programs but I just prefer to sit there and do it myself with a crazy bid in the last 5 secs. Usually works for me. Them programs are probably full of spyware etc.

use bidmate gives you 3 free snipes a week.

 

Auctionsniper is better but you only get a certain number of free snipes then it costs.

 

If he's bumping it up, just put in your max bid then walk away, with any luck he'll win it and inccur the charges for selling his item to himself

create an account yourself and put in a bid for 10k - and keep doing it for all his auctions just to pis him off

nah, he'll just "mutually agree not to complete the transaction" with himself, and get his selling fees back. All he'll pay is the listing fees.
