Homer
RB20DET Don't bother, they're as gutless as the 2JZ NA.

KimberleyAnn
its for mainly just driving normally really, just because i need the space but sitll want a little grunt when i need it. Should i just look and test drive?
Homer
Test drive and see what you think would be the best bet Personally I think it's a long way from a decent Liner and even further from a decent Supra.
juanchan
RB20DET Don't bother, they're as gutless as the 2JZ NA. I think it was that exact word that persuaded me not to look into an NA Supra. Not a fan of the R32 Skyline myself, much prefer the R33 tbh. It looks pretty clean though from the photo you posted.
Supra-Dupra
RB20DET Don't bother, they're as gutless as the 2JZ NA. True works. Replica Binliner.
Carl_S
Then you will have a skyline and a supra.. Now you're talking. Go for it. I'm still glad I have my liner as a daily driver. Carl
supra matt
Thats very cheap for what it is so i would go for it, my mate has one and it ant slow and has enuff power to put it side ways no trouble .
Guest Garfy
nice looking car, I have a soft spot for the R32 skyline, but I prefer the gtr obviously, lol, that one does look very clean, but I'm not so sure its cheap, as its only a 2.0 tubby, also a mate of mine had a 2.0 none tubby a few years back, and it was as juicey as the soop. ECK
RB20DET Don't bother, they're as gutless as the 2JZ NA. at least we have a supra!!!
hadyn
Nice looking car and thats about the right price. They're arent super quick, but are RWD and can be tuned to produce some decent power Plus they just look soooooooooooooooooooo hardcore. FYI 2.0 turbo R32s go for about 2-3k nowadays and the R32 GTR is usually 6-9k
hadyn
, also a mate of mine had a 2.0 none tubby a few years back, and it was as juicey as the soop. Probably because its a straight 6 engine
Tom
Not sure what it is but this car has been up for sale for some time now and either the guy keeps getting timewasters or theres something wrong with it, proceed with caution these are normally gone pretty quick as they are so popular with drifting now. KimberleyAnn
at least we have a supra!!! Exactly......I like my supra even though it is a N/A. Obviously its not as quick as a tt, and they are very nice cars.....but i didnt ask how quick the skyline would be, now did i? The guy has replied and said i could look at the skyline tomorow at eleven. Gonna try and get my mate to come with me, who has a r33 gtr, but anything you think i could look out for? Homer
It was just a don't get so defensive folks The money looks okay provided it's in good nick. I don't know much about that engine, so can only recommend the usual checks - front chassis legs for signs of damage, good regular services (check the state of the oil in particular), smoke from the exhaust (make sure the engine is cold before starting), check for any sign of blue smoke when on boost (good if you can get a mate to drive behind). I'd also get the chassis number and run it through one of the Bimta sites to verify the mileage on export (only costs a tenner). It's also worth checking the persons history on PH and finding out if they're members of any of the Skyline owners club, a couple of minutes searching could reveal any hidden secrets or problems they're not telling you. I know you didn't ask about the performance but can't help but think you'd be disapointed with it compared to the Supra.

KimberleyAnn
Just looked at the skyline. He took it to a local garage as it was dark when i got there, so i could see it in the light. Followed the skyline, wasnt any smoke. When we stopped in the garage about 2 mins down the road, i checked that the engine was pretty cold. There was no knocking or weird noises. I drove the car, and was very smooth, didn't seem to be anything wrong with it. He had it up for like 3250 at first, then this slowly dropped to 2500, i said 2300 bankers draft tomorrow, is that taking the pis*?

Chris Wilson
You can get a decent R33 GTS-t for a tiny bit more, and it's a far better car, especially when you factor in parts availability in the UK, which is BAD for a 2 litre one.
