Is this any use?

It probably would if I knew what the hell I was doing! :D

Failing that, you could always try something radical and search Google :)

Search

What like you did in these threads?

I don't suppose you took the time to actually read the threads then? If you had, and had tried Google for the answers, I would be interested to see what search words you used and what results you came back with. :)

It's a pity you didn't use that time to try and source answers to your own queries eh? Ah well, don't bother thanking me for being the only one who could be bothered to reply. :)

It took 2 minutes to find answers to all your threads on google, not long mate :)

My query requires diagnostics and isnt as simple as your posts.

Thank you for replying ;):)

..sorry you fealt you had to delete your original threads mate. Its sometimes hard dealing with someone who is straight talking hey?

No, not at all. You stated that my input was of no value - hence it should not bother you that I deleted the links. BTW, the word is spelt "felt".

did I? Where was that then? Am I missing something?

I actually stated that your initial resolution was of help if I knew what to do with it - hence the reason I have asked for help on here!

I picked you up on asking me to use google for something which to me is quite complex when you post simple questions that can be googled in 10 seconds.

Be a man and admit your second response was not needed particularly considering your track record

But I have work to do so I wont be responding anymore - I think my point has been proven, people can make their own mind up. And YES my query requires diagnostics and isnt as simple as your posts - again point proven read post 5 & 6

Is it one of the Huawei (whatever) things?

AFAIK they are supported on Linux, but it's really a case of whether the support has been compiled into the kernel or compiled/provided as modules.

Does the eeePc say they're supported?

I've been thinking about getting one of these for the kids, but I was waiting for the 4 or 8gb one, and I'd like the larger screen which Asus say isn't going to happen :(
