ShamelessTT
My friend had an accident with a side impact on the rear passenger-side door. Didn't look too bad on first inspection but have since seen that the rear wheel has taken a knock as well and alignment is well off. Insurance company are being an arse by saying it has to be driven to the garage on Mon to get a quote, but is this safe to drive in this condition? The steering has a mind of it's own, the exhaust is knocking and the side of the car is pretty damaged, neither door will open! I don't think she should drive it and insurance should send someone to come and look at it. Isn't there a risk of being stopped by the coppers for being unroadworthy etc? Cheers, just looking for second opinions...
wile e coyote
Ring garage up and say the car is undriverble and it needs to be picked up.They should notifie the insurance company this(That is if they told you which garage to take it to )to get authority to collect (showing garage pics may help) Good luck
