mathew
now i have a house with a garage:) im thinking about getting a kitcar early next year. the problem is i havnt got a clue where to start. i want one which is already built andrunning but havnt got a clue which model to go for. i was thinking something like this http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/274034.htm not overly expensive. what are the sorta running costs with these??? and also does anyone own a kit car?? Pete
Yes (see left). Built mine from scratch, engine and all. The RH are the cheapest of the cheap, not terribly good quality or drive but a lot of fun for the dosh. In kit form they're a little over a grand I think depending upon the model. Reliability depends on who built it, how many new/recon parts they used etc. In general they're very easy to work on anyway so no biggie.

My old man built a westfield and was very impressed by the advice and build quality of their stuff (like the welds etc) the crazy foo' put a 2ltr 16v cossy lump in it. To say it was a little quick is an understatment
