Dragonball
$64000 question - oh ok maybie £6.40 I have a set of Ace alloys 109 (inherited) 18" with 38 mm offset 5:114.3 (whatever this last figure means?) Will a set of UK calipers on UK spec discs fit said alloys - everyone giving me different yes/nos - frankly confused now Have read through the postings that I can find Can someone please point me to the measurements that I should make to try in discern if worth it? Or the measurements that I should look for in a calliper? Many thanks Paul:cool:
Alex
I thought you needed +40mm but I could be wrong...if they are just 2mm short a tiny spacer might not do too much harm... NB: NO ONE RECOMMENDS SPACERS IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR CHOICE.
Steve Cargill
It also depends on the valve position. My spokes will clear UK brakes, but because of the position of the valve, that woun't clear :-((
Branners
You also need to know the width of the wheel as the offset is relative to the width. There really is no way to be certain the wheels will fit until you actually put them on a Supra with big brakes. JB
Mark Ayling
My last Supra (J-Spec) had UK brakes and Ace alloys. I had to have spacers on to get the wheels to fit and the car just never felt "right", couldn't exactly put my finger on it but it always felt a bit dodgy.... Matt Harwood
Paul, if you fancy a trip to Maidstone, we can try to fit one of your wheels on my car...
