Ewen
Not sure. A V8 Roger Rabbit may be overdoing it perhaps.

Ewen
Roger Rabbit? You mean Rampant? Nah, the Rampant Rabbits for girls. The original Roger Rabbit is still the daddy. Still not sure about a V8 one though.
dangerous brain
Yeah there obviously is as the last ludicrous merc Brabus made had to be detuned by alot due to having too much torque for the vehicle to actually be safe or capable of driving. grahamc
what would be the limit for a road going car?
Gaz6002
Well there is that Victor with 2000bhp driving around in the UK. It depends on how you define "road car".
grahamc
am able to drive to the shop for milk (1 mile) or to my moms (150 miles)
neil tt
About 550-600 RWHP, would be just about right:d
Class One
as above? yes, no, what power? just bored on a Saturday afternoon... Depends on the car, chassis, brakes etc etc. No point having a 600bhp+ monster that won't go round corners or be able to put the power down in a safe and usable way. Gaz Walker
550-650 rwhp is enough, or if you 4wd, 1200
dangerous brain
The car itself is the biggest decider. A veryon can quite clearly put its 1000 bhp on the road but the merc I mentioned before could only get 600 down in a safe way. All about design. For a supra though, without suspension and brake modification I wouldn't go much beyond 450 bhp.
RedM
Too much power is the amount that you don't utilize bar those odd few minutes of 'fun' when out driving. What's the point of XXXbhp if you don't use it all for a majority of the time?
neil tt
That would be nice, but I seem to spend most of my time working:rolleyes:

jevansio
Oh yes, I'd rather have a 400bhp car that can beat a 500bhp car than a 500bhp car that gets beat off a 400bhp car
