Hi chaps.

I need 2x 5.1V Zener diodes, now.

How can I identify a diode as being a Zener diode, and being 5.1v? I want to pull a couple off something.. I have all sorts of electronics stuff I can pull apart.

I bought a load of stuff from RS today, including some 1N4148 signal barrier diodes, but I need these two Zener diodes.

HEEEELP! :D

pretty please :)

yeah sod it. I'll get some sleep and do it tomorrow ;)

thanks for the help guys

Right, I'll be off back to RS shortly. Do I just ask for a couple of 5.1V Zener diodes? Obviously that's quite a generic request, will they all do the same job, within reason?

This looks like the puppy, from http://www.rswww.com:

Description Diode, Zener, axial, BZX79, 5.1V

RS Stock No. 446-8674

Manufacturer PHILIPS SEMICONDUCTORS

Part No. BZX79C5V1A26A
