RobSheffield
Why is it called fast food when you have to queue for 10 minutes to speak to a clueless spotty oik
robin
The "fast" in "fast food" refers to the accumulation of fatty deposits on your arteries and the haste with which you perish.
JustGav
If it is anything like McDonalds, it is fast food because it is partial digested already... (tastes like it anyway)

jamesmark
When they came up with the name of fast food, I do not think they meant queue time aswell, fast food as in when you order it is fast to be rammed in a bag, compared to a restaraunt it is still fast. Stratty
Fast food is food that can be prepared and served very quickly. While any meal with low preparation time can be considered to be fast food, such as TV dinners, typically the term refers to food which is cooked in bulk in advance, kept warm or reheated to order, and sold ready-to-eat from an outlet. That's what they say anyway....
AndrewOW
Its just like "express" checkouts in supermarkets Yeah definitely! I tend to pick a queue with a trolley, and they normally let me through with my 'few' items. Much quicker!

SupraStormRising
Should be called KFR after what happened to that poor girl. A girl while eating a KFC came across a rat that had been inadvertantly battered and deep fried, it was one of the girls friends that realised when she had blood streaming down her face Mmmmm Kentucky Fried Rat... RedM
If you don't like the food, service etc then don't go there. Simple really. I'm sure the last thing that the poor, underpaid workers at these places need is people coming in with 'tude.

Look at you mr health foods from now on I used to work in for my local macDs years ago, but we were tought to serve up to 7 customers at once. The Rotherham town macdonalds has the worst layout of any restaurant EVAR. Loads of stylish leather chairs and nmo clear route to the tills, so you end up queuing out the door, only to have some chav mother run into your ankles with a pram when they suddenly decide to open an 'express lane' for her!
