Daston
Anyone know of any companies that do this? I was going to see how much to would cost to import a new Viper in a few years time but I really hate LHD (I have tried it and couldnt get used to it) so can it be done?? Also anyone know anyone who can import them. I know Jurgan can get exotics from the Jap market but I am not too sure how many Vipers would have found there way into Japan. carl0s
If it was a Supra then at least you'd be able to find a RHD dashboard etc, but with a Viper.. it'd be a totally custom job.
JustGav
It is a hell of a lot of work to do a proper job really... Remember all the plastic mouldings, all the guages, all the brackets, all the steering column... are meant for an LHD, moving these over may prove impossible (nothing is impossible, cost prohibitive is a better word)... Things such as steering racks might not be available and things like that. The option which some cars do, is a belt drive to the LHD steering column (so effectively you have two steering wheels almost..), and push rods for the pedals.. Daston
sor of the same thing that test cars have? I think I have seen a viper with RHD on here and that a company did it. Bit of a sod all the cars I would love to own tend to be LHD only or uber rare in RHD
Thorin
A company in Australia did a handful of conversions I believe http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1384887393058135830ZBOOpz

I have heard of that. Imagine if the belt broke A bit worse than a broken cam belt I should think.
JustGav
I have heard of that. Imagine if the belt broke A bit worse than a broken cam belt I should think. Hence the reason I'd rather take my risks overtaking in an LHD than convert it..
Bob
It's not so bad, I got used to LHD after a week of driving to and from work over here
jevansio
I've seen one or two RHD Vipers for sale on Pistonheads before, be easier buying one that was already converted.
