We used to lock ourselves in the server room at lunch.
Bob
Happy, my arse. The canteen's off-limits, and I can't have my morning black coffee. I'm gonna be a miserable bastard all day!

Bob
Just as well I filled up on Pizza Hut last nigh! Meal for six here only costs a tenner (btw, I didn't eat it all myself, if that's what you're thinking!)

Locals didn't come in the office until 11am-midday ! If they bothered at all. Kind of defeats the point when you stay up half the night and sleep till noon.... I must say though that the Asian people that I work with do not want people to stop eating in front of them , however if I was asked to stop eating I would politely decline. Hope it all goes well this year for you all.
Bob
Bahrain officials have introduced BD100 spot fines (about 130 quid) for anyone caught eating or drinking outside during Ramadan. If you don't pay up, its also a night in the cells.
