My friend had his out a few months back and smacked the dentist because he was screaming stop and he didnt :blink:

Mate...you have my sympathy. I had all four of mine out, two of which were impacted back in June. You will look like a hamster for a while yet....but after a couple of weeks you be back to normal.:(

your lucky you have bupa, i had mine done courtesy of the nhs and they couldnt kick me out the hospital quick enough, i had to go back half hour after being home as i was bringing up a lot of blood and needed some more swabs to bite on :(.

i hate to say that the trauma didnt finish there, i had to go back to the dentist and have fillings in the teeth that were next to my wisdom teeth, thats a bit unpleasant too :(

They knocked me out and smashed mine into 4 pieces each with a chisel and then gouged them out with pliers. They don't take it easy in a military hospital when you are knocked out. I was still bleeding badly at 3 am when I came out of theatre at 1 in the afternoon.

ouch :(

Had mine out a week last Friday, both bottom ones and the right one was badly impacted so had two stitches too. Left one didn't bother me at all, never hurt after or since but the right was swollen for a few days then went down.

Lots of scrambled eggs, baked beans, mince etc.. ;)

Nearly fine now, though my bottom right lip is still numb so they must have caught the nerve when taking that one out. They say it 'should' come back within the next 1-3 months, unless I'm very unlucky.

Oh, and I was a big jessy and made them do it under a general, I was fine within half hour and allowed to go home and it didn't bleed at all after about 7pm in the evening :D
