Recommended Posts

I have recently had the same problem going to order parts from toyota come 2 weeks,

New drivers seat belt, New central locking actuator unit...

The drivers side belt is not the sort of belt that has explosives is it ???

If it is apparently they are pretty hectic to fit?

to anyone who's seatbelt is still not retracting, does it retract when you release it from the holder? this is what mine is doing but as soon as i press the release button on the holder it retracts?!

i've let the X files know until someone can come up with a reason

clippy things

technical term ;) i'll have a look in Halfords tomorrow for one of those, but i'm pretty sure that it's something electrical/mechanical that is connected to the button though since this immediately retracts it

I'm not sure I am understanding here?? the seat belt extends yes? If you pull it out any faster than a snails pace it locks?? It is designed to reel back in on a big spring mechanism inside. So what am I misunderstanding here?

OK spaz mode read the post brain lol. It doesn't go back in is the problem I am not understanding oops.

that's the one :D

BUT it does go back in as soon as i press the button to release it :complain:

so i guess the question is what happens electrically or mechanically when the button is pressed, along with the sensor for the seatbelt warning light etc
