Jamesy
.....i put in £25 and had my 1st motorway drive and was delighted at the result.......... i covered 86 miles (10 miles of which was off the motorway) and only used half the petrol....so basically £12.50 for 86 miles (equivalent to £25 for 170 miles = under 15p a mile) - yeah admitedly i was driving like Miss Daisy, and doing 80 on the motorway...but am well chuffed with that!! i am guessing when i give it some welly (which is bl00dy hard to resist) it will go down quite a bit....but made me feel loads better! Shaun.
Don't be fooled by the needle on the fuel gauge ... it goes from quarter to E in bink of a turbo. Btw... nice looking car mate. Shaun.

Jake
Unless you're measuring fuel consumption over the course of a full tank you're wasting your time. The gauge is so inaccurate it's meaningless.
dr_blackman
I got 24mpg going to silverstone and back and a few short journeys this weekend, wasn't bad concidering I drove her fairly hard like normal They do prefer longer runs!
Jamesy
i can work out the cost per mile... i.e the cost divided by the miles.... but how do you work out the actual mog rate?
Jake
Convert the cost in £ into litres (price per litre you paid for the fuel) then convert litres into gallons (4.54 Ltr per gallon IIRC)

Wazz72
I usually get around 30 gallons to the mile in mine, think its got a twin turbo fuel tank, or a hole in it....
Homer
Here's my averages (taken over several tanks and an 70% motorway/30% town driving): Stock TT: 19mpg BPU TT: 17mpg Single: 22mpg The fuel consumption on the single is better on motorway/town driving, but positive boost means sub 15mpg figures in a flash. Jamesy
would love to do the single conversion!! not bad figures there mate, must be pleased with them....
Homer
mpg means nothing tbh, I don't do a lot. It's not all good, 8mpg on a weekend jount is fairly normal now, even the TT never got worse than 14mpg (unless on a track) The single only really provides better mpg when on cruise and town driving (as the turbo isn't producing any boost), when it comes on it's game over for the fuel tank! Jamesy
good point - however as im using mine every day, some of which is round town... i'd be happy to play around off boost for most of the time. (just cant afford the £££'s to single turbo it!!)
b_have
Well, I filled mine up the other day, did 50 miles and the needle still reads full! Well chuffed, free motoring
ShamelessTT
Sod the guage, fill the tank to the max.......drive! drive! drive!..........then fill it backup (till it clicks off, same pump if poss lol) getting reading of pump for how much you have used in litres, convert to gallons and divide your miles by it. Thats how i do it anyway.....
suprafan72
I did manage 38mpg on cruise once... but that was with part race gas in doing a steady 80mph running no boost at all with 14:7 afr's
