IceMan
Just noticed a few tiny rust spots due to stone chips on the edge of the wing where it meets the bonnet. What should I do? The car's silver which I hear is a bitch to match paint wise (and a rough touch up the Jap guy who had it before me did to the wing mirror stands out!)? Should I just dab some Kurust on it or what? Sanding the whole thing down and respraying it seems a bit much... Ice
IceMan
Secondly, my Vertec Manaray Sport VR5 alloy wheels are looking a bit second hand, a combination of stone chips (I think) and some weird white squiggley marks! Any thoughts/ideas on restoring these? Or do they look a lost cause? Ice
matt
1,Get a touch up kit from halfords .... 2,I did my blitz wheels with progressively finer grades wet&dry .... finishing off with metal polish. Boring job, but easy enough
Lazarus
Get a touch up kit If you get the one from Toyota it has a little wire brush thing in the cap for removing the brown deposits before touching up. I've just done my silver car (again).

TLicense
on the subject of rust..... Has anyone else got any rust under the door sills? (I mean the plastic kick plate) Mines quite bad. I've also got some surface spots in the shut at the top of the rear hatch. I was going to get whoever does my re-spray in the spring to sort them out, but was interested to see if anyone else has any problems....
