djskeme
Hi all, Just wondering if you can set the car to start with the traction control off automatically, mine drives much better without it.

Thorin
It's second nature to me now on getting in and starting the car.
RedM
I did ask this many, many months back and there were a few posts alluding to a wiring trick. No-one seemed to be able to find it though.
Eve
I never turn mine off cos i'm too scared to, are you saying it will drive better without it?? How about in the rain? Only had the car 6 weeks so bear with me!
djskeme
dunno....it might be like one of those placebo things, but my 6 sp, seems a lot less clunky with it off, and a lot more smoother drive....unless its wet i dont really see the difference, in the wet, all it does is causes problems anyway....its more of a problem than a safety feature. imi
Its only one button press away. exactly, or just take the fuse out (not sure whether this is advisable on autos or UK cars; since mine is neither of the two its cool )
paul mac
i did look at making a timed pulse on the ignition to switch the pesky thing off, for anyone electrical/electronic minded it would be pretty straight forward and the bits would be peanuts but in the end up i ripped the lot out on purchase of an uprated gearbox

Only had the car 6 weeks so bear with me! It can be a little inconvenient at times especially if you pull out infront of another vehicle. On a slippery road the traction control can cut in and you lose a great deal of power and the acceleration you expected to have, seams to take an eternity to get the power back. Imagine the situation you could be left in!
