I am a tad concerned here, I have your car in, and have ascertained the second turbo does appear to have gone kaput. However, we need to decide what's happening now, as I will give absolutely NO warranty if I fit anything other than a pair of rebuilt turbos supplied by myself, and any supporting stuff it needs to run them reliably, like hoses, gaskets, blah blah. I don't want to start dismantling it any more than i have until we agree a course of action.

I have to concur with Chris - fitting second hand turbos is a false economy. They may last 2 years or 2 days. You're gambling the labour bill on hope.

If you want to keep your Supra for a good few years you're better off spending the extra now.

Please excuse my earlier post Chris which was posted, a few days prior to our communications. I have decided not to go for 2nd hand turbos, as you and Pete have quite rightly pointed out can leave you in a false economy. But instead to opt for either recondition or hybrids. I have not fully made up my mind which one to go for. :(
