Millsy
Right, took the step to buy a runaround and put the Supra on a limited mileage policy. Mainly as cost cutting as insurance for Supra had gone to £1080 with Adrian Flux and I was spending enough money on petrol as done loads of miles. Anyway, phoned Flux to swap Supra policy for Escort estate 1.6 16v and my insurance dropped to £250 fully comp, but taking my 5 years no claims off that policy. Well happy with that quote. Then asked them to quote for a new policy on Supra with limited mileage - they were suggesting £780 with 3000 miles I think, (or maybe that was 1000 miles but either way not very many). Was going to go for that but phoned Sky. Sky quoted £696 fully comp with 5000 miles but not too worried about if I did 7000 miles. So was going to go with them. But then got a call from A-plan after doing an online request yesterday. They did a bit of searching and quoted me £540 fully comp with 9000 miles which is more than enough now. So gone with A-plan and that means insuring both the Escort and Supra fully comp is about £290 cheaper than if I'd just renewed my existing policy. Never really shopped around before but I'm over the moon with the results.
edge
Only thing is a-plan dont do agreed value. Im with a-plan and very pleased so far but when sky can do me a "decent" price with agreed value then i will change.

They will not/are not doing this for new customers....only existing customers get the guranteed value cover.

Millsy
To be fair, at the moment my Supra's probably worth bottom rung TT money anyway, but I'll take lots of nice photos of it to back up any claim. I think they said this would probably work as you could argue any claim so not too worried about agreed value.

Alex C
Yup, A-plan for me as well, have been with them for 3 years now and they're always the cheapest (including Sky who as said don't do agreed value for new customers now anyway) As a preemptive strike, i have made a covering letter, full list of mods and taken lots of photos of the Sup and sent it to them as a pack to keep on record....probably will make very little difference but anything to show that its not your avarage 100k mile Parkers Guide bottom line type car.
