AndrewOW Posted June 28, 2007 Share Posted June 28, 2007 If anyone can remember a thread I started recently that mentioned I had a serious problem with my stock J-spec turbos. Well now I've had some 'new' ones put on my car (Jezzybabes), and its been fixed, I have the original ones at home with a broken bearing and slight damage to the fins of turbo 1. All I would like to know is, how much it would cost getting them repaired and selling them on, or would someone make me an offer to take them off my hands and repair them themselves, if thats worth doing? It's just unlikely that both would fail at the same time (isn't it? unless something damaging went through the intake at over 4,000rpm), so perhaps somebody could use the internals from say Andrew's no2 turbo to fix their no1. AndrewOW Posted June 28, 2007 Author Share Posted June 28, 2007 I was told by the garage that turbo 2 (T2) is fine, but turbo 1 is shagged. Bearing went at about 2,500 revs, so since then there was no boost to damage T2. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
