posted up a few pics of my car on a forum and started a thread about jap cars then get a guy straight away going on about his fathers 330bhp civic beating supras with ease. before i get into an argument with this guy id just like to know peoples opinions. maybe il have to accept defeat in this argument

My supra was dynoed at 351.9 hp my mate has a k20 eg hatch (new civic type r engine in a 1993 civic hatchback) his car is fully stripped out minor tuning he said it put 220 hp on the dyno, he ran 12.3 in the quarter ive seen the time slip.

Ive driven next to him from 40 to 120 we stay right next to each other every time, its quite funny because whoever does the next engine mod will be faster. :)

All I can say is BTCC. Just about all of them are FWD. If the handling set up is sorted they can leave most things for dead in the hands of a pro.

I don't think this is fair or relevant, if you ever see under the bonnet of a touring car you will notice that the engine is in non-standard position, as low and far back as physically possible to maximise handing and grip (minimise the c of g)

hardly fair to compare such extreme mods to an essential stock car with a bigger turbo slapped on it, a fairer equivalent would be the rwd supergt cars :D and they are considerably faster again than fwd touring cars

PS: with al this stripped out civic stuff, so fairs fair, how quick woud a stripped out bpu supra be then I wonder, quicker than a 500bhp single at full weight?
