stt
Ive recently picked up a serious bargain on a GReddy T78 Turbo that was way to good to give up on,Right I neeed a little guidance as its j-spec tt6 with a mines ECU,ARC fmic and a fse fuel pump.I know that the fuel pump wont be up to the job and would probably need a warlboro pump or 2! I need a little help really on what parts need replacing and what to replace it with, the clutch is standard but im guessing that will have to be binned and it is running on 450cc injectors does anyone out there know what size injectors would be man enough for the job, would 720cc be enough? Any comments would be gratefully recieved as I know enough about this but not all of what I really need to know! Cheers! Tim
Alex
720CC injectors 2x Walbro's Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator Lots of 8AN hose and fittings Bigger fuel filter HKS or similar rail. E-manage (The mines ECU will be fine to use in conjunction with it) RPS Street Max(? I think) clutch. Could try Vortex, as I think they have a complete fuel system kit. stt
Um cant disclose too much information but a very good mate of mine bought it stateside with the intention of building a monster and has decided to go a different route, what it is I dont know but he reckons the power figures might start with 13**! Mate, looks like you got a bargain there! Seems a bit odd though that your good mate can spec and build a 1300BHP Supra but you're on here asking for help. Anyway, Alex has already advised you well on what parts to look at. The only other thing I can think of is that you might want to consider a fuel pulsation dampner bypass. I'm not sure if two Walbros are really necessary but Alex would know more about it than me. I guess it couldn't hurt, right? See what Terry S from Vortex says about it, he's been there, done that, more than once. Good luck with it and please let us know how it goes. Its a bit difficult as he lives in Florida to be able to get him as and when but they have other manufacturers available to him over there that we dont get here so with the good information that people have given me here then I know who and where i can get my stuff from But as for the pulsation damper ive already got a fse fuel pump that I bought from TDi and the relay by-pass so the pump is running a constant 12 volts as opposed to it switching like on standard systems But again thank you for your input! Jake
I see, that makes sense about your pal being in the states. You know a FSE and a fuel pump are two different things? Also, the 12v fuel pump mod is generally frowned upon around here. There's a bit about it in the FAQ iirc. I'll see if I can find it for you. Alex
A T78 is good for about 700hp. 720cc injectors can support 700hp. There is a pattern developing. Your mate might be thinking of the Jun Akira Supra which had 2x T78's!
Guest Terry S
I think he means his friend sold this kit in order to build a 13XX bhp car, not that the T78 will produce 13xx bhp.

stt
I know what im saying does sound like pie in the sky stuff but heres a link to a power graph from a web site that he has something to do with,With the relay that I have as a by pass if you sit on tick over the pump will intermitantly cut in and out to maintain a set pressure I came from Torque Developments international if anyone else wants to enquire about it and tell me ive done wrong, but anyway this should be the graph from the TO4R.com website Impressive!
