Andrew_sup
this is not all in one journey, 12 miles each way to work.
RobSheffield
Did you clean both O2 sensors? Might be worth contacting Nic on here as he is/was running a group buy for new sensors. Do you have any warning lights illuminated, even occasionally and intermittantly? Maybe pop to a local Toyota garage for them to run diagnostics on the car, or contact a local member to see if they can help you run the 'paperclip' test (this will only work if you actually have a fault though!) Andrew_sup
only one and thats the one of the down pipe not directly on the manifold its self i thought that was for some thing else. no flashing lights apart from my overdrive light working in reverse but od is definatly off. going to try a service this month too. AndrewOW
You've got to make sure that you drive with overdrive on, otherwise its like being in 3rd gear and over-revving all the time, which means burning loads more fuel.
Whitesupraboy2
NA or TT? Cleaning 02 sensors is normally only a short term solution. You can always try giving the ECU a reset by pulling the EFI fuse and see if it learns better. Sounds like you my need some new 02 sensors first and plugs as well wont hurt. Andrew_sup
over drive on, it rev's higher with the od on? i been driving around with off as the car revs lower.
Rory
When they say OD on, the light will be *off* The OD light shows that you've chosen to omit 4th gear.

Whitesupraboy2
ok, there is 2 02 sensors Id get them changed, new air filter (£10) and new plugs (£12). Give the ECU a reset and hopefully watch the mpg rise. How many miles has your NA done?

Whitesupraboy2
Dont know, when I had mine i was doing about 110 miles to £20 but thats bit higher then most people so id say about 90 - 100 miles. Only time I worked out mpg I got 29 on motorway and about 24 around town. So anything over 20 may well be normal.
Andrew_sup
well any thing is an improvement over my current mpg
RobSheffield
At that sort of mileage it is unlikely that a clean in lemon juice will help the O2 sensors, id reccomend getting new ones and doing a good old service on the fluids and filters, once all complete do an ECU reset

Guest ol27
Apart from the fact that the universal O2 sensors dont come with the flange attached, is there any other reason why I should buy Toyota OEM? I know Toyota is alot more expensive but am I getting anything else for my money? :o Was just wondering as I was contemplating changing mine too (n/a auto, 2 sensors)
