Ark
Chaps, where can I buy a 73-14 cup wrench for oil filters... That is the correct size for a Toyota, isn't it?
merckx
I'm not sure. Get yourself a universal one and you'll be able to remove all the different sizes of oil filter.
Ark
Got several "universal" ones...they're all crap. I borrowed a correctly sized cup wrench and it was a billion times easier to get the filter off. Only thing is, I can't find anywhere that sells them. Cup wrenches are much like a good socket set - use the correct size and shape tool, and the job gets soooo much easier.

Chris Wilson
A generic claw type wrench at less than 10 quid works fine for me, never had one it won't shift.
Ark
You have the room to get a ratchet on one of those??? Yep, as long as you use a flexible one. A generic claw type wrench at less than 10 quid works fine for me, never had one it won't shift. Never tried one of those, but after destroying the old filter last time around by using non-application-specific tools, I vowed never to go there again
