Crank Pulley tight or what?

He's already got the bolt out I think... Its a puller he's after.

 

doh! ah yeah............

 

ok in that case, you can use a gear puller but also you can utilise the crank locking tool.........

 

you need to undo the crank nut so it sits proud of the pulleys front surface (just enough to get a spanner in - 5mm or so) then using a sheet of metal or anything strong put this inbetween the nut and the still attached crank locking tool (basically filling the whole the tool leaves to get a socket onto the nut - you'll need to back out the bolts holding it to the pulley)

 

Then undo the crank nut with a spanner from above, this forces the nut back onto the plate, that in turn forces the crank tool backwards, which as its attached to the pulley pulls this off the crank...........

 

does that make sense?
