Rav Posted August 7, 2004 Share Posted August 7, 2004 Hi. One of my mates bought a stock RX7 around the same time got my RZ Supra TT (was in stock form then). Rx7 is quick off the mark and low to the ground, so handle pretty well. But mid range and top speed the Supra beats the Rx7 hands down. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Chris Wilson Posted August 8, 2004 Share Posted August 8, 2004 Stock MKIV J-spec auto, no cats, standard factory tyres and suspension (not Bilstein), good pads and fluid V stock J-Spec Rx-7, no cats, factory tyres, factory brakes, good pads and fluid, me driving both, hard as they will go, round Doningto, RX-7 1.5 seconds a lap quicker. I'd rely on the Supra to take me to bosnia and back, I'd rely on the RX-7 to not do so.... RX-7 outhanldes and out stops Supra as it's a LOT lighter with better suspension, in fact an RX-7 is still one of the best production car stock chassis made. It was so different riding in my friends S2000 and then mine.. really do notice the guts are missing from the VTEC when you're pulling up hills.
