Wazz72
Anyone recomend the best type of jack to use, and the best points to jack from? Tried at the jack points in the manual, with a 2 ton trolly jack, but the metal seam that runs the length of the car looked like it was going to bend. Just make sure that you use a piece of wood between the jack and the jack point. You'll hear some cracking during lift but that will only be the jacking point embedding itself in to the wood. Rob
A large piece of angle iron helps tremendously when jacking at the side rails. (advice c/o Chris Wilson) I've flattened my rails using a trolley jack.
Sean1933
so when liftin the rear you just put the jack directly on the diff? Im probably being stupid but isnt there a risk of cracking it?

This is one of the specified jacking points for the Supra. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=522292&postcount=
Soonto_HAS_soop
I jack on the front cross member and rear diff, but I always use a bit of 3x3 or 2x4 between the jack and the car. It allows the car to cut into the wood and give a larger surface contact area.
