Timwildman
Think some one asked this before, and dont think it was a good idea. The water ( I think) also goes to the, inlet manifold & turbo.

Alex
Yep agreed - if it blockes the leak it'll probably clog somthing more expensive too!!! It's a crutch at best. Please replace the radiator instead. Your options for which are, stock from Toyota, fluidyne, PWR, Power Enterprise, ARC. There are no re-core's available (or not since I last checked). here are some of those aftermarket rads. Scooter
Alex / anyone, do you know if you isolated the rad, and pumped the radweld through just that and it stopped the leak, then, when it hardens (does it need time? does it sort of 'go off'? i've no idea of the physical nature of 'radweld' stuff) and you've flush the now 'fixed' rad would it when plumbed back in normally still possibly give you same problems or would this be ok? would this be a safer short term 'Crutch'
dude
Leak sealers are only supposed to harden when in contact with air , ie at the leak !!! Re-cores are available but for the money you may as well go alluminium . Dude:flame Dev
Jake
Even if it would work (and I'd bet good money that it wouldn't) how would you go about such a thing? The temps and pressure required would make it a very tricky task without some specialised equipment. As Alex said, it's a crutch, you're just papering over the cracks and the problem is sure to reoccur (Usually at the worst possible time and in the worst way) Depending on where it's leaking he *might* be able to get a seam resoldered, anything else and new rad time I'm afraid. ------- Edit, to explain this was in reply to Scooter, Dude sneaked in before me.
