johnnyknox
Personally I think it's a belter! What do you think? Here is a video review with Jensen (is it just me or does Jensen Button come across as being totally uninterested in this clip?)
tbourner
Love the look of it, and supposed to have MUCH better handling than the current.
imi
Here is a video review with Jensen (is it just me or does Jensen Button come across as being totally uninterested in this clip?) What do you expect....its like the man described it as a pooped up Civic hence its bread van credentials. Target Audience - Boyracers This will obviously be received well by the chavs as it now says Type-R on the calipers....WOW and they can continue bragging about their 0-60 times.......WOWZER
Gazboy
Target Audience - Boyracers Nope. I was invited by Honda to drive the new car last month. Traget audiance is corperate women in their late thirties upwards. The car is a heap of shit too btw.

RICHARDA
Saw this at a press day at Goodwood motor circuit the other week alongside the old model, which when they went out onto the circuit looked faster and was trying to overtake the new one. johnnyknox
I've only read one positive review (CAR) and lots of negative (everybody else) Whatcar Car Autoexpress http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,12929-2571383,00.html All rate it Anyway.....I started this thread to get your views and if you don't like it's fair play. I personally think it sounds great. At the end of the day it's a hot hatch and it will appeal to chavs, but that alone is not a reason to hate it. imi
Its a shopping trolley with 17" alloys.....LOL The old ones had crappy driving position, steering and handling (wasnt all that great) Engine and gearbox on the other hand were fantastic. Oh, and it looks crap, (thought i'd just remind you)

Cable
I don't know what's up with you guys but Civics and especially Type-R's are great fun to drive. I think there's too much snobbery going on here. I could have more fun in one of these down the right roads than I could have in a Supra. All the reviews I've read also state that it's the best hot hatch out at the moment, maybe because all the others seem to be too concerned with making big power rather than a decent handling car. I also think they look good and the chav comments made are daft too as chavs lust after Evo's, scoobys, skylines supras the lot. Unfortunately a lot of civics are bought these days by complete idiot morons who've been watching too much fast and furious and think that by putting a 'zorst', 19inch spinners, horrendous bodykit and neons on their 1.5l civics makes them road gods giving any credible civic lover a bad name. Again the same goes for Subarus etc However where I live the EP3 Type R's are not owned by any of muppets thankfully.
imi
Agree....I used to have one too I used to own a prelude and every time I took it for a service the Honda Salesmen would be like flies trying to talk me into the CTR. Finally I caved in and took the tesco's finest out for a spin and was convincingly disappointed. Honda used to make some really nice performance cars. Prelude (as a GT Cruiser) and the DC2 as a nice lightweight hatch; not to mention the EK9 (now that engine was a masterpiece) The CTR has always been a trolley. Millsy
I really liked the old Civic Type R, would definitely have one if someone gave one to me. The new one looks ok - at least it's another 'affordable' new car with plenty of poke. Toyota haven't exactly been excelling at that recently so it's a good thing the likes of VW, Ford, Honda, Renault are keeping up the hot hatch tradition. Great fun if you don't want RWD. For "what it is" imi, I can't possibly see how you could be dissapointed....you sure you just can't get past it's looks and target market?
