My last day today

I start my new job on Monday.

Having mixed feelings right now, I feel a bit sad if Im honest. Some people I will really miss [others I couldn't careless about]. It was even weird saying goodbye to my MD on Wednesday, I think I might even miss him, in a weird sort of "i hate you" way.

Off to the Pub at lunch time, which is a bonus.

Yes it is weird!! The last time I changed jobs was last May and although I could have killed two of the three directors there without batting an eyelid BUT, I did feel sorry for the one boss I did like.

I was the Sales Manager and the company had started going in the right direction after 3 years of being there but I fell out with one of the bosses and threw my toys out of the cot.!! I have now been gone 8 months and they still owe me money!!:(

They were only a small company and I heard yesterday that they are on the verge of going bust.

Nevermind Sabrina, a new challenge awaits. I have a feeling you will fell that you have made the right decision in the end!!

Good luck!!

H.

Oh god Im not questionning my decision to leave...........alot of stuff here is just nonesense. This company is either on the verge of something great, or its all going to go horribly wrong.

That combined with a very small man, who bought his directorship, who does nothing but wave paper around, and take credit for other peoples work, so he can massage his massive ego.......makes its the right decision to leave.

I handed my notice in 4 months ago, so its been a long notice period, but today is THE day. Its come round so quickly

I've been here a little over three years, and was my first job after uni. So new challenge is just what I need.

Can appreciate how you feel with the whole mixed emotions.

I stayed with my first job after college for 8 years and had worked my way up the ladder and met a lot of great people along the way.

In the end I just got so fed up with the management taking me for granted and just assuming I would do a 7-14 hour day... everyday!

But now it's been almost a year since I left and now I wonder sometimes if I miss all those pressure situations I was in and that type of environment.

Sorry, back on topic...

Good luck with the new job

Yay, go you!

Friday and your last day... lunchtime pub... just don't overdo it at lunch (unless you planned on it) and say something you *won't* regret in the morning :D

Its okay, im not planning on staying too late [we only work half days on fridays]

Thats almost the same, more often than not I'd be working 11 hour days, and Im responsible for my own department, so theres a lot of pressure on me, but when it came to it, not once did they thank for it, so theres no point, and I've learnt the hard way

Im mean, they turn up to work in their Bentleys and 06 reg Range rovers, new car every year [which they put through our accounts - im good friends with my accounts lady], we are lucky if we get inflation payrises, and then when Idid hand my notice in, they then screwed me out of all the training fees as well. Quite frankly they are all T@ssers.

But im still going to miss this place.......weird huh?
