Removing the TRC System

Well thats the end of my search and no conclusive answers on how to fool the ECU into thinking the trac is connected.

Ive just finished making my own throttlebody, but with the trac gubbins disconnected, I lose manu mode and get the flashing lights.

Any ideas gents?

just in the process of doing this myself and thought i would cross this bridge when i got to it, i (without stating the obvious) presumed i would figure the wires and then short out the relevant ones, cant believe you cant find anything mate, as you say this must have been done before

I will be in the same boat when i finish welding up the holes left by removing all the TC gubbins, what actually happens? error code? can the TC ECU be removed if its fed by the ECU?

It isn't so much an issue for you as your 6 speed. I have been running without mine for over a year now. I just got used to the flashing trc light. I was told that you can pull the bulb or remove the ecu enetirely to solve the light problem.

So there is no problems associated with just disconnecting the the trac control ECU, and finding it a new home on a shelf.

old thread still rumbling on, is the above the definative solution to this problem as i have just removed all the trac butterfly gubbins today, interestingly i run a Boostlogic built auto and was a bit dismayed at how harsh the gear changes were when i first got it i knew they were suposed to be "firm" but they were more of a "crash" on upshifts, removing the butterfly smoothed the changes to an acceptable level, i have'nt run the car yet just want to make sure i have no flashing lights
