MrHanky
Right then, this is a little debate me and my brother Cable have been having for a few years. It started out when we were bored and fist asked the question of 'who would win in a fight between a bear and a lion'. Most people sided with the bear. Then the siberian tiger was thrown into the mix. I had a look around for general stats the last time we talked about this and found the following. Polar bear (male) - Average weight 1100 lbs, height upto 10ft, heaviest recorded weight 2204lbs Siberian tiger (male) – Average weight 700 lbs, length upto 10ft, heaviest recorded weight 1025lbs So who do you think would win in a fight?? If I find out that this topic is a repost I will be gutted Mark
Bobbeh
Ooo tough one I would hope the tiger as its more agile, but it would be a tough one to call!
Ian W
yup. tough one to call this but if the polar bear is at full strength then i'd have to go with the polar bear. only time i've seen a polar bear injured etc is when it's been starving for weeks. Spoony
buy both on the black market, let them grow and arrange a fight in a pit. but dont forget your camera for a small video
RobSheffield
I think the tiger would have more sharp bits, where the bear relies on sort of weight to sort of bash things Give the bear a sword and its a tough one to call
MrHanky
buy both on the black market, let them grow and arrange a fight in a pit. but dont forget your camera for a small video LMAO When we first started this years ago we asked the really wild show to answer this, but they refused to hypothesize due to the different habitats and the fact that they would never meet. What really gets me is how many others have also thought about this. I just had a look on google and theres loads of people with the same question Mark

Guest Nicholas
I'd say the Polar bear judging by this... "Siberian Tigers have a reputation of being vicious killers, because they spend much time hunting. But this reputation is not true-to fact. Siberian Tigers have to cover large distances searching for prey. Only 10% of all hunting trips are successful and usually elderly, young or ill animals fall a prey of Siberian Tigers." The Siberian tiger sounds like the chav mugger of tigers
johnnyknox
As a zoo keeper of 28 years I know the answer to this. It's the Tiger, every time.

Cable
tough one but I'm sticking with the Tiger, faster and as Robsheffield put it has more pointy bits. A tiger has shed loads more more muscle than a pudgey polar bear (which is still a good protection I know).

AndrewOW
Yeah but, no but, yeah but, the bear has huge paws with huge claws, and teeth to match the tiger's ain't it? The tiger would be very agile, but once the bear's got the tiger in hold that would be it I'd thought, almost a wrestling match. You watch a polar bear take down those huge seals etc, which are much bigger than it is, amazing strength. I don't think a iddy widdy tiger would put it off. Or maybe I'm just barking up the wrong tree!

Guest Nicholas
What if Mr yeti found them fighting and decided to join in? http://www.thegazz.com/blogs/localbands/uploaded_images/yetti-752682.gif Who would win then? I can see a possible "tag-team" with the polar bear.
Daston
I would say tiger as it will either go for the neck whilst digging its rear legs into he chest cavaty (well this is what demestic cats do so I cant see a tiger being any different, just a lot better at it.) No but seriously, perhaps they could be new top trumps cards? LOL, that would be great. Top trumps are great fun, except for when they decide rubbish ratings. i.e Nick Fury better at fighting than Wolverine or something like that. I think not
