DaveK
We went to a party last night, and they had a Wii, and an Xbox 360 (and a PS2, and a PSP and.....). Although I could see that the Wii looked like a laugh, I was disappointed with the graphics - and also with the actual games that we saw. Some of them were little more than the old track and field type games, but with you shaking your hands about rather than bashing buttons. My g/f was sold on it and wants one immediately - but I won't be buying it. I couldn't help thinking that once the novelty of the control system has worn off, the games themselves were really pretty basic. The Xbox looked better to me - although it still doesn't convince me I should rush out and buy one.
Pig
that what im worried about. a few hours of play then, hardly ever used. I like sitting on my arse pushing buttons
DaveK
I like sitting on my arse pushing buttons Exactly - it looked far too energetic to me. If I want to exercise I'll go and play REAL tennis - the whole point of playing it on a console is that I'm a lazy git!
Kranz
ZX81's! Pah - newfangled, modern stuff! I started on a TRS-80 before I graduated to my Spectrum!! I can beat that... Commodore Pet in 1978. Made from 16 guage steel with a built in tape drive. Wow! I've still got a ZX80 somewhere used as a doorstop
