Thorin
http://www.liveforspeed.net/ Had a look at this after it was mentioned in another thread. Fantastic! Had to get my Microsoft Force Feedback steering wheel out to have a play. Only trouble is the force feedback seems intermittent and the steering wheel sometimes doesn't centre properly with force feedback turned on. I think the wheel is dodgy, I have had it a few years now. What's the best FF wheel to get?
Thorin
I think I've found it, they aren't cheap though! http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/GB/EN,CRID=2217,CONTENTID=11867 I've also just discovered rFactor http://www.rfactor.net/ will have to have a download of that and try it out tonight. silvershark44
In my opinion Logitech are simply the very best periferal company for the pc you can get. I have logitech everything, from keyboard to mouse to speakers, which are incidentally 505watts RMS with a 10 inch sub. Thats extremely loud for you average room and their quality has been compared to much more expensive speaker systems. I assume their stearing wheels will be no different. I total expect it to be miles above the the rest and I would go for the logitech regardless of price over rivals. You cant go wrong with logitech, the build quality is second to none, you wont be dissapointed!

ivan
Have you tried letting Windoze install it's own drivers? I found my FF Wingman joystick behaved badly with the Logitech drivers. I let MS take over and it was fine.
Thorin
Yeah you have to use the built in windows drivers as there's only win98 drivers available from microsoft now (sidewinder products unsupported now).
michael
I've also just discovered rFactor http://www.rfactor.net/ will have to have a download of that and try it out tonight. Any feedback on this one yet? I've just been watching YouTube vids of people playing and it looks impressive. I see someone has modelled the Super GT Supra already. Thorin
Any feedback on this one yet? I've just been watching YouTube vids of people playing and it looks impressive. I see someone has modelled the Super GT Supra already. Seemed "ok" but handling didn't really feel as good as LFS. Although it was difficult to tell as you're limited to one crap car and a circular track in the demo. There was a fair amount of hype in the LFS forums about rfactor before it was released but all the feedback I've seen was that it's extremely disappointing.
