Ewen
Heads up for some very high winds overnight, pushing north from the south coast. Trivial yes, but I've had a couple of close calls in the past with branches and roof tiles, think about where you park your Supra tonight:)

Branners
well it could be an interesting night for me. The builders doing my extension took all the roof tiles off one side of the house today so its got battons and plastic protecting the house. Rest of the house is sort of sealed (a hole here, a hole there..) but without the roof its going to get a little breezy. pictures of what remains tomorrow. Class One
My neighbour across the road has spent the last 3 days setting out his lights for his Xmas extravaganza that he does every year. I fear that most of it will be blown down by tomorrow morning.

Class One
TBH I think they'll always err on the side of caution after the Hurricane of October 1987. My car got crushed that night under a wall.

RedM
Handy tip: To prevent falling roof tiles from hitting your car simply park your car on the roof. Seriously though, I remember the '87 hurricane. Very frightening hearing stuff falling all over the place and my dad outside trying to get our nutty old neighbour to go inside. The old fool was trying to sweep up the leaves so it didn't look untidy!

Charlotte
TBH I think they'll always err on the side of caution after the Hurricane of October 1987. Wow that was one hell of a storm. I remember getting up and going to watch it from the window with my dad, it was ace, if a little frightening for a 7 year old.

Charlotte
Your dad was only 7? Yes that's right. I'm actually my dad's mother's uncle. We're all inbreds in the south you know.
