nad300 Posted November 11, 2006 Share Posted November 11, 2006 Hi everyone, just needed to know is the lower ball joint/wishbone supposed to have any play in it ?? as i just bought used one from a trader & was told theres no play in ball joint at all but the one i received has excessive play same as old one which obviously will fail mot ?? Jezz Posted November 12, 2006 Share Posted November 12, 2006 Mate, you ask me to supply a new one, to which i respond by telling you i'm a vehicle breaker, not a new parts supplier. After agreeing to a used one i then remove 5 of the blinkin things to find the one with the least play (this one had NO excesive movement when i sent it out). The boot is still intact and yes, you can move the joint around easily, but theres no 'up down' movement in it. If your car fails its mot on that ball joint my name is Yabadadadada.
