Soonto_HAS_soop
The wheels look like they're off an e-type Jag. Yep, but 4.2 not a 3.8. Got to convert it from LHD to RHD, it was imported back from the states in 1996 and has been sat in a garage local to me since then, when I found it and got it delivered to me on Friday. Should keep me amused for a while.

Do I sound as though I know what Im talking about ? I love Google
Soonto_HAS_soop
Not sure on what carbs it has got, but it's going to get a set of XJS carbs (three) and then going to run triple trumpets and a large foam filter. It has a large stainless steel exhaust system that was bought for it before I got it. Got to take the engine apart to check it all out and put in new liners. Will probably throw in a few little trick bits to get as much out of it as possible. It needs a complete new interior, and I think I will go for cream leather. Not sure of the external colour, was thinking standard signal red, but black keeps coming into my head, and then there is the titanium colour that was used...... Ewen
Exciting stuff. I really wish I had the balls / space to even contemplate a project like this. My brother started an E-Type project years ago (body shell came from the sand by the side of a road in Saudi) but just couldnt get it anywhere near finished. Hes still got the engine and a few bits and bobs...if you like, I could ask him whats left and what spec it was......

If he wants shot of some of it, I might be interested. Although I have found, an almost, free engine and box if I wanted it from the XJS my mate has as he is scrapping the car. But if your bros has anything he might want shot of let me know by PM, with prices, and I'll see if I'm interested. I got lucky with this one, as most of the bodywork is done, although the bonnet needs some serious TLC. The guy that sold it was a metal worker so has done 95% of the welding, including new floors, sills, entire boot section, rear wings, new front sub frame, sills and rear diff mounting area. It is pretty much there, minus the boot and some tidying. Shouldn't take long to get it up and running.

Soonto_HAS_soop
5 is just greedy, and tbh, I prefer the restoration and bolting it all back together etc, I find that part much more fun.
