mattanna Posted October 30, 2006 Share Posted October 30, 2006 I know there has been a raft of scares about this, but since the latest report at the weekend, government taxation plans have been leaked, which include a "substantial rise in road tax for high c02 emitting vehicles", and no decrease in fuel prices even when oil price goes down, so that the motorist does not save.Increase in air travel taxation too, not looking good:( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Kip Posted October 30, 2006 Share Posted October 30, 2006 Quick question - IF these proposed taxes are going to help fight the effect of global warming - which in my estimation is only the natural cycle of this planet - Can we please have a breakdown of each pound spent on fighting the effects? In other words what is the tax going to be spent on? Taxes on this taxes on that - Methane! a massive contributor to this so called effect - there will be a tax on farting and owning cattle next. And whilst I'm on my soap box why are we not pressurising the main contributor of the emmisions - The Fekking USA??? Leave us alone for christs sake enough is enough....
