The aspect ratio of a tyre eg. 40, is not a fixed dimension it is a percentage of the width of the tyre.

 

ie. tyre aspect ratio x tyre width = side wall dimension

 

eg. 245/40/19 would be 40% x 245mm = 98mm side wall height

 

So to be able to answer your question, you would need to tell us the width of the tyre.

Something else to consider is the rolling radius will be wrong, and therefore your speedo.

it's all about keeping as close to the stock rolling radius as possible.

 

if you don't want a low profile tyre, don't buy 19s i'm afraid.

im on 20" with 255/30/20 at front and 305/25/20 at rear.

 

Im going to be going 255/35/20 and maybe 30 on the rear as i cant take the stiffness no more!!!

 

Ive given up on the rolling radius now...im well out.

 

sorry to hijack but i wanna see a pic of your car on 20's ;)
