Pete Posted October 3, 2006 Share Posted October 3, 2006 You can use various techniques to treat the edges of an effect applied to only part of an image. To leave a distinct edge, simply apply the filter. For a soft edge, feather the edge, and then apply the filter. For a transparent effect, apply the filter, and then use the Fade command to adjust the selection’s blending mode and opacity. .. I can't see how this is useful. Come on Ed. China Man Posted October 3, 2006 Share Posted October 3, 2006 open image, choose mask option at the layer window. depends on the mask colour you can use a soft brush and paint the edge away by using black or white colour. if that make any sense? Another question: When I select an area and press Delete it leaves me with the background colour inside the selected area. I don't want that, I want it completely blank - so that it's transparent.
