Mike M
Hi all, Needing a little guidance from anyone that spray paints for living. I've just sprayed a new wing with 2K and I've flattened it down with 1500 to get little imperfections out but It's a B@stard to polish it back to a nice glass like finish. Whats the best way to go about this, I know I want to go and get a polishing gun but are there special polishing compounds to make life easier. Cheers Mike

turnerjr
as already said, use g3 with a mop / electric buffer / polisher or wateva you guys call them. use plenty of water with the g3 as it makes it easier to work with and leaves less chance of burning the paint. just make sure you keep away from the edges with a buffer and you'll be ok. finish off with a good wax polish to get rid of any swirly buffing marks if there are any. basecoat and lacquer will produce a better finish than 2k paint if thats of any use to you for any future spray work. good luck
