I know we had people from other countries join the RAF. I think it was 30% of the pilots were from other countries, inlcuding America.. but yes it was a "UK" victory I guess as the fighting force of planes came from this country. Imagine it, up at the crack of dawn to a bacon and egg breakfast, then sit on your wicker chair next to your Spitfire smoking your pipe and reading your paper, waiting for the bell to ring signaling that it's time to scramble into the air and give Jerry a bloody nose.
