Cracked rad

Well it's fitted. Easy enough, took me a lot longer than it should though

 

I've done a write up and took photo's, I'll post it up tonight. Had to use some masking tape around the threads of the temp sensor to seal it as I didn't think to go get some proper plumbers tape stuff. It worked, will that be ok or is it likely to start leaking again?

 

I also used the rad cap from the fluidyne rad rather than the original, I presume it's ok?

 

edit: and the Fluidyne rad might be slightly lighter than the stock one but there's actually very little in it if so.

The stock cap doesn't fit anyway does it? Its the pressure rating that key here...1.1bar is normal though TRD's is 1.3bar.

That was hopefully the idea Ian, but I expect and welcome you to correct/tidy up and just tell me I've done it all wrong before adding it as a FAQ
