Big Ads
Did anyone see this in the news recently? I can't find a link anywhere to it. But they are starting to dish out fines if you straddle a white line! if a car park is moderatly empty tho whats the problem with taking up 2 spaces??!! This i presume/hope will only be on private restiricted car parks.
Guest gzaerojon
if ever i need to venture to tescos/B&Q ect i always take 2 spaces, can't stand to see these idiots opening doors on other cars
Scoboblio
Personally I'm the other way around - I hate seeing people who take up 2 spaces, especially if it's busy. If the car park's quiet then why worry about other cars parking next to you (just park in the empty bit), if it's busy then you're using up someone else's space because of a "my car's more valuable than yours" mentality, and as such I hate you on a molecular level. charlton
I'll park in one bay at the quietest end of the car park but guarenteed a car will park next to me out of every avaiable space - why???? thats the only reason why I sometimes take two bays - it looks horrible having door scars down the side of your bodywork

Fair enough, you're right there. I remember filling up at a huuuuuuuuge (20 odd pumps) BP garage on the way home from work. I was the only car in the garage until some old t**t in an escort pulled up to the pump right next to mine, got out (had to actually squeeze his fat arse out of the car because he'd parked so close).... and thwack
Big Ads
Supra's are wider than the average car, and the doors are huge! those spaces are just too dam small!! I take my young brother with me and park in the mother and child space!!

Scoboblio
Don't get me started on those parent and child spaces..... when I was a lad (last week), my mum used to carry me, my sister and 3 weeks worth of shopping home on the bus, then walk half a mile across hot coals in bare feet No-one can complain that they have to walk little Jonny 20 yards across a car park along with a bloody shopping trolley. charlton
when i was at college i parked on the end of a row of cars (not in a bay I might add or the Supra but still with plenty of space to get past ) and some idiot parked right on my driverside door, it gave me about 3cm of room to get in so I had to get in the passenger side - not saying how I got revenge though

sdavies
When I get my respray I am getting some cones - and will take up 3 feckin spaces with my car in the middle and coning off the other two!!! Seriously, I don't mind people parking next to me - but why is everyone a door slinging tw@? I got about 4 nipple dents in one evening.... I was like a tazmanian devil afterwards. I was sat in the car at one point when one woman rammed her door into me - and just looked at me like it was my fault for being there!?!?! I was in the white lines exactly with equal space all around!! *sobs* If I end up having to be close to someone I am so feckin careful and so considerate - then some **** parks next to me and leaves scars all up the car... AAARRGGHHHH... sorry - raw nerve this one
Daston
I hate this when I had my MR2 I used to get it more once I had 2 big 4x4's park so close to me I couldnt get the door open enough to get in my car! (because of the way the windows slow inwards) Ended up having to wind the windows down take the roof off and jump in Magnum PI style
Matt Harwood
Matt's business partner Ian used to have an F250 truck-a massive great thing. It's so long it won't fit in a normal car space, so he used to park in two spaces (one in front of the other) and buy two parking tickets. Even though he paid for both spaces he was fined so many times. I do remember him telling us he was going to go to court over one that was £60 but I never found out what happened. There is a multi-storey where we used to live that has a warning sign at the entrance stating that you will have to pay a fine before you leave if you park over the white lines. supra steveo
i had this in Ipswich mate i got it down to a £10 fine in the end. kicked off saying from the picture they supplied it was obvious there was not enough room to get in and out of the car and because i was a local i didn't know that there was double parking bays for those with kids the next floor up

squiffy
i hate it when it is busy and some lazy fecker cant be arsed to staighten up and just leaves the front corner hangin over enough so i cant fit the supe in! if im in the van i just wedge it in up to their door! jamesmark
I say it should be £70, to hell with it my mate used to do it and it f'in annoyed me, unless you have a hugely exspensive paint job then there is just no need what so ever, you have more chance of getting your car keyed but someone that thinks your a twat for taking up 2 places thinking that you own the car park and your something speacal than a trolley hitting it, I have been driving and owned cars for 10 years and I have never ever had a trolley ding or a door ding, my father has but with the force that a door would realisticly actually hit you he used T cut. Marco
£35 is still cheaper than getting a dent repaired. You can never win while parking in a public area. If you park within the lines, you'll get dents... if you park on the line, people might scratch your car on purpose, or still park right next to you:rolleyes:
