lucasl Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 yea ive got a 112mph delimiter and speedo convertor installed, i was wondering if it still has a 155mph limiter on the j spec models its a manual if that makes any difference. lol not that i need to go these speeds i just wanna be in control of my engine If i remove the trac fuse anyway to get rid of the traction control the slip light would stay on right, so would removing the bulb solve this? You have to pull the TRAC fuse to see over 165 on the speedo, but on an auto this is not a good idea. On a manual I would perhaps consider crippling it (or disengaging it often) On the auto it also fiddles with the stupid flap and ignition retard to soften the blow during gearchanges, so pulling the fuse isn't really a good idea. lucasl Posted September 8, 2006 Author Share Posted September 8, 2006 The trac fuse is to do with the traction control, just pushing the 'trac off' button only partially disables the trac system. It disables the trac throttle body and trac function throught the abs system on 93,5-96 only, but not the trac system ignition timing retard function. Unplugging the trac fuse eliminates both fuctions as well as the 155mph limiter which im trying to figure out if ive got this on my j-spec.
