Bobbeh
Not calling you a liar, I just cant see it mentioned anywhere on their website report of the event. They seem to cover every other detail. http://www.junauto.co.jp/reports/bonneville2001/index.html?en They were aiming for around 1200bph too, and this was years ago, Im sure tuners today could crank that speed even higher! Could have been the RX7s, they used to take off as wind got under the wheel arches at high speed, they had to cover their wheels with something that was more aerodynamic. Ah- Furry Muff. Regarding Cowie's Skyline- what would it do in Tesco Trim? The Buggatti, Ulitma & Sledge will be on road tyres with 100ron V-Power. Although Ultima don't want to ship the car, so if the test is in the UK it'll be 98 ron Optimax.

Gazboy
Btw, someone accused me of slagging off jap-cars and loving Porsches, so to show some balance- the 9ff GT2 is getting a kicking here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=295438&r=3822596&hm=3348#3822596
