I dont have the heart to go back to the other thread but didnt he use Western Union? Thats a great way to transfer money to people you know, but about as bad as putting it in an envelope and letting the Royal Mail have a knees up on the booty. Its safe enough buying a car on ebay if you use the appropriate safety measures but theres always an element of risk in selling or buying a car and its best to remove any possible points of fraud when you can.

Ouchmungus. I have bought several cars and sold several cars on ebay. It is actually the best medium I have found for selling low value or high interest cars. Buying and seling cars is a PITA. The car I pick up tomorrow I buy only from a reccomendation from a Mark 3 club member off another mark 3 club member. I let my last mark 4 go to gruggs with no payment on the day as he had banking issues. Those banking issues were sorted after a couple of days and my money arrived in my bank by the end of the week. Having a known car from a member or selling to a member has significant advantage. Myself when I do come back to the mk4 fold (will wait for the tarnish to leave) I will buy from here and pay more for the privelige.
